“All Creatures – Blessings the Animals”

On Wednesday (10/4), some of our Christian siblings celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. St Francis was an 11th century mystic and friar known for his patronage of animals and nature. Many congregations celebrate by ritually blessing the animals in our lives. The Following Monday (10/9) we honor Indigenous People’s Day, which also calls us to deepen our relationship to all creatures and the earth. Join us for an intergenerational service focused on our call to deep, mutual relationship with our creatures and all creatures. Your animals that can be around other animals are very welcome in the sanctuary. Otherwise, please bring a photograph of your animal to be blessed or hold them up in your zoom square when it is time. You are also encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to be blessed.
