Join us on June 29th to support Resist, one of our partner organizations for the 11th Annual Celebration of Grassroots Organizing, a lobster picnic 🦞and collaborative fundraiser for 15 organizations on the frontlines of Boston’s movements for justice and liberation!

Let’s celebrate another year of the partners’ hard work on the frontlines: sustaining the neighborhoods most impacted by COVID, leading the movement for Black lives, uplifting youth voices, and defending communities from the harms of gentrification, policing, deportations, and climate change, among others. Let’s honor that work by nourishing ourselves and our community, raising $200,000 for our movements.

Purchase your ticket(s) using this Event Registration Link.

Event Details:

  • The event will be split between two seatings: 1 PM and 5 PM.
  • Main course options are Lobster, Chicken, and Vegan/GF Plate. Cole slaw, rolls, and pie will be served to all.
  • Beer and wine will be available for a suggested donation.
  • Accessibility: The event is on a lawn. When purchasing a ticket, you’ll have a chance to indicate if you have limited mobility so that we can seat you close to the entrance.

COVID Safety Precautions:

  • Vaccinations STRONGLY ENCOURAGED (MA vaccination information)
  • Attendees are strongly encouraged to take a rapid test before the event.
  • The event is fully outdoors, beneath a tent.

Families and Youth:

Families with children are welcome at the Celebration, and for the first time this year we are offering childcare and youth ticket prices. Youth require a ticket if they have a full meal and seat at the tables – if they will go to childcare or sit in your lap / a highchair they do not need a ticket.

  • Childcare: Youth ages 3-12 are welcome to join our volunteer-run childcare center, located in the nursery on the 2nd floor of the church. Kid-friendly food will be provided. Pre-registration is not required, but please indicate in the registration form how many kids you’ll bring, their ages, and any allergies so that we can plan accordingly. Caregivers will be asked to fill out a waiver form and sign their children in and out.
  • Youth tickets: $25 tickets are available for youth under 18 who plan to sit at event tables.
  • Infants: Youth sitting in strollers, laps, etc. do not need their own ticket.
