We are a welcoming resource for our congregation and the Boston community at large. Our facilities are available for hosting family-oriented events such as birthday and anniversary parties and for fundraisers appropriate for a church setting.
About our space
Our church is a registered historic building in a picturesque
location.There is public parking available on Church St. and Winter St.
Our first-floor spaces are fully ADA accessible.
The Sanctuary seats 400. It offers an antique Tracker pipe
organ, a piano, and a PA system for basic amplification.The Parish Hall offers a 14 1/2’ x 15 1/2’ stage equipped with an
Estonia grand piano and complimentary use of rectangular
tables and 85 green stacking plastic chairs.A serving kitchen is available for plating and serving food for a fee.
A flexible community room is available on the 2nd floor for
meetings along with nursery and childcare spaces.Usage of the organ + piano is possible if approved by the Music
Director.
Please note that there is no rental availability on Monday or Tuesday evenings, or on Sundays.
As a liberal religious community, we welcome inquiries from individuals or groups whose purposes align with our ideals. Priority for all activities, including FPD events, is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
Using First Parish Dorchester for Weddings & Memorial Services
As a Unitarian Universalist church, having your wedding in our church gives you the flexibility to create a ceremony with your own personal touches that will make your wedding day special for you.
Completing the Facilities Rental Request Form
All events are scheduled in advance with the Administrator. To start the rental process, please complete the electronic Facilities Rental Request Form and we will follow up with you.
