Unitarian Universalist

Worship, Music & Choir

All welcome!

Welcome to First Parish Church in Dorchester, our Unitarian Universalist religious community. We welcome you, whoever you are, whatever tradition, gender, race, class, sexual identity, ability or age you represent. May you grow in the ways of respect, service, and wholeness. And through all your days may you know that you are loved.

Worship services are at 11:00 AM every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.

Worship moves to Parish Hall
Again this year we will close the sanctuary/meetinghouse for the winter and move the services to the Parish Hall. Join us as we make this shift to save on heating costs. Please enter from the Parish Street side of the building, as the church yard gates and front entrance on Winter Street will be closed.

Music: The hymnals we use and provide in the pews on Sundays are Singing the Living Tradition and its supplement Singing the Journey. Our singing is accompanied by organ, piano and occasionally other instruments. Our volunteer choir is open to all who like to sing. Rehearsals are held before the worship service.

Choir: Please contact Ana Sorina Popa, anasorinap@hotmail.com, for more information or show up for a rehearsal.

Meet the Worship Team.

Learn about our principles and sources of faith.

Unitarian Universalism is a caring, open-minded religion that encourages seekers to follow their own spiritual paths. Our faith draws on many religious sources, welcoming people with different beliefs. We are united by shared values, not by creed or dogma.

Our congregations are places where we gather to nurture our spirits and put our faith into action by working toward social justice in our communities and the wider world. There is no formal conversion process, so becoming a Unitarian Universalist (UU) is simply a matter of self-identification. Newcomers are always welcome at UU churches. Membership in local congregations is voluntary and does not require renouncing other religious affiliations or practices.

We invite you to explore our website, visit us on a Sunday, come back again, and discover Unitarian Universalism! Read more.
